Fees, Exemptions and Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Services Fees

2. Exemptions - Etudes en France processing only

The following categories of students are exempted:

  • Holders of a baccalauréat obtained less than 4 years ago or high school students currently in their final year (Terminale) enrolled in a French high school
  • Recipients of French government scholarships (France Excellence), including Charpak scholarships from the French Embassy in India
  • Recipients of Raman-Charpak scholarships and PhD fellowships from CEFIPRA
  • Beneficiaries of a co-financed scholarship from the French Embassy in India
  • Scholarship holders of the Franco-Indian Education Trust
  • Beneficiaries of a European Union scholarship
  • Beneficiaries of Eiffel scholarships
  • Beneficiaries of a scholarship from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)
  • Students enrolled in an Erasmus Mundus program

3. Refunds & Cancellation

Etudes en France processing only:

  • Refund requests are accepted from all of the scholarship holders mentioned above who finalize their EEF procedure.
  • Any cancellation shall not be acceptable.
  • Requests for cancellation due to force majeure will not be eligible for reimbursement; however, the procedure may be rescheduled to a later session (an email must be sent to the Institut Français en Inde, mail address below).

About all services (EEF excluded):

  • Any cancellation shall not be acceptable.
  • Requests for cancellation due to force majeure only will be eligible for reimbursement (an email must be sent to the Institut Français en Inde, mail address below).
  • Refund in the event of cancellation by the French Institute in India (an email must be sent to the Institut Français en Inde, mail address below).

4. Refund Application Process

For each request in the event of proven and justified force majeure or cancellation by the Institut Français, an email must be sent to the Institut Français en Inde, along with the following documents:

The email must contain:

Subject line: Refund Application for the EEF Payment or Training Payment (mention the correct programme and date)

  • Letter addressed to the Director of Institut Français en Inde explaining the reason of the refund (except in the event of cancellation by the Institut Français en Inde).
  • Copy of the payment receipt of the fees.
  • Bank account details (account holder's name, account number, bank name, branch name and code, IFSC code, mobile number & e-mail).
  • Official Scholarship letter/certificate (only concerning Etudes en France processing fees).
